THE CA´N LUPAL ESTATE
the gardens
Sóller is located in north-western Mallorca at the foot of the Tramuntana Mountains, a UNESCO Heritage Site. Central Palma and the Airport are each approximate 30 minutes by car. Port Sóller and the beaches are each approximate. 3 kilometers away. Sóller and Port Sóller have scheduled train and bus services to Palma.
From the entrance hallway, 4 steps (otherwise, the entire estate is stair free – an outdoor ramp can be used instead of the interior steps) lead up to a large dining room with a table that seats 12, a wood furnace and open kitchen. Adjacent to the dining room are two further double guest rooms, each with en-suite baths.
There is plenty of space on the 5000m2 plot to play football, pick herbs and fruits (Ca´n Lupal has over 100 citrus trees) and collect fresh eggs in the chicken coop. In Ca´n Lupal you can enjoy the close proximity to the center of Sóller and at the same time the comfort of a private luxury villa on a wonderfully quiet property with a breathtaking mountain panorama.
The historic parts of Ca’n Lupal are over 200 years old. The estate originally housed the irrigation administration for this part of the valley of Sóller. A water reservoir containing well over 1.500.000 litres of water, named „Aljibe“ from the Arabic „Aujub,“ is located at the upper end of the property. In former times, the water from mountain springs was collected in the reservoir and distributed via a system of aqueducts to the agricultural land surrounding the finca. Today, the water serves only for the irrigation of our own gardens.
Ca’n Lupal is a five minute walk from the centre of Sóller in No. 10 Cami de Torrente Can Creueta. The paved road has little traffic and is more than 300ft from the house. A wide remote controlled entry gate leads to an illuminated private driveway and large parking area adjacent to the house.
the villa
The entrance provides access to a wardrobe, a guest toilet and a bathroom with shower. The large living room (50 m2) is accessible through the original glass-paned double doors. The living room contains 3 Sofas, a large flat screen TV and an open fireplace. Two guest bedrooms (each with a 160x200cm double bed) are adjacent to the living room. All rooms are equipped with underfloor heating (supplemented by wall heating in the historic section). Air condition in the living room, dining room and all bedrooms.
A large glass door leads to the main terrace with a Weber gas barbeque and a table that seats 16. Just a few steps away is the 20x5m pool, 160 m2 terrace and pool house (shower, toilet, outdoor kitchen).
